Dynasty Warriors Origins’ main campaign is divided into several chapters that retell the story of the Romance of The Three Kingdoms. The first chapter sees you teaming up with legendary figures of the era to quell the Yellow Turban Rebellion. At the very end, you will be tasked with defeating the self-proclaimed General of Heaven, Zhang Jiao.

This particular boss fight is quite challenging, as it is divided into two phases. In the first, you face off against Zhang Jiao in a 1v1 battle, while in the second stage, the Expeditionary Forces will clash with the Yellow Turban Rebels in an all-out warfare.

Here’s everything you need to know to take down Zhang Jiao and end the tyranny of the Yellow Turbans.

  • The first phase of the battle against Zhang Jiao in Dynasty Warriors Origins will put you in a 1v1 fight where you need to take down the General of Heaven’s health to a certain extent. Try to not use your healing buns too much as you will need them during the second stage of the battle.
  • Zhang Jiao will throw rocks at you, most of which you can block and parry. The best advice here is to stay close to him, as you will be able to counter him with your Sp. Attack when he shines golden.
  • Weapons like the Sword and Gauntlet are highly effective. You can use them during this stage of the battle.
  • Move away from Zhang Jiao when he starts to emit a red glow and be ready to avoid the incoming rocks.
  • If you are running low on health, there are a few pots full of buns at the gateway from which you enter the arena.

  • The second stage of the battle against Zhang Jiao in Dynasty Warriors Origins will turn out to be an all-out clash between your allies and the Yellow Turbans. Switch to Spear for this part of the battle.
  • Zhang Jiao will summon a set of hurricanes and lightning storms to attack you with his Thunderous Tempest attack. You will need to defeat 300 enemies to quell the storms. The best way to deal with this is using your Sp. Attack to defeat the golden enemies and then use Assault on them. This will happen twice during the battle.
  • Deal with Zhang Jiao’s generals first. When they fall, his troops will scatter and you will have an opening to the leader of the Yellow Turbans.
  • Zhang Jiao in Dynasty Warriors Origins will use the same set of moves he used during the first stage. You should already be familiar with his patterns by now, so use your skills effectively to take him down.
