One of the major threats to the development of the City in Frostpunk 2 is the Factions and their volatile relationship with you, the Steward. As the leader of the City, you have to take certain actions that might worsen relationships with a certain Faction, leading to Fervor. Fervor leads to riots, protests, Civil War, and possible game-ending scenarios.
You can combat the rise of Fervor and unrest among Factions using a game mechanic known as Deradicalization. It is your most powerful asset when Fervor rises to uncontrollable levels after Factions in Frostpunk 2 feels unhappy, ignored, or agitated.

How to see a Faction's Fervor and know their position
You can see a Faction's Fervor from the detail card when you click on any of the icons representing them. Select the icon to open up the card that details your relationship with the Faction and the Fervor on the right-hand side.
Ideally, it would be best if you kept your Fervor to 'none' as it ensures a peaceful Faction without any radical or violent tendencies. Pay attention to each Faction's needs and try to meet the demands of one without hurting the other too much. This is the best way for you to maintain a decent Fervor.

How to Deradicalize Factions in Frostpunk 2
You can Deradicalize Factions in Frostpunk 2 in various ways which can help bring down the Fervor and calm them down. Deradicalization essentially relates to the de-escalation of the Tension of a Faction and coming to agreeable terms with them. Remember, you can use these methods to reduce Fervor in Frostpunk 2 as well.
Here are a few ways to deradicalize Factions in Frostpunk 2:
1) Maintaining the needs of each Faction
One of the best ways to Deradicalize Factions in Frostpunk 2 is to maintain the basic needs of each Faction and make sure their needs and demands are met. Every Faction will have a set of demands and requirements and you should try to meet them from time to time.
If you see that some Faction's Fervor is rising, look into their demands and acquiesce to a few to keep the Fervor and radicalization in check. Another important factor to remember is that if you negotiate with a Faction or promise to get a Law passed, make sure it is done. Failure to do so with lead to dissent and rise in Fervor.

2) Use the Deradicalize option
One of the best ways to Deradicalize Factions in Frostpunk 2 is to use the built-in Deradicalize tool to temper the rising radicalism of a Faction. Head over to the Fervor tab of the parent Faction and select the Deradicalize option to start working on deradicalizing the Faction in need.
For the other Faction to Deradicalize the problematic Faction, you must be in good standing with them. The best way to ensure that your deradicalization option is open for all Factions is to ensure a moderately healthy relationship with all of them. 3) Build Prisons
History will attest to the fact that many rebellions were squashed by a stint behind bars. You can do the same in Frostpunk 2 if you wish to take a more ruthless and no-nonsense measure. Build Prisons to Deradicalize a Faction and riddle holes in Fervor like Swiss cheese.
Use an active Prison to round up all protestors and remove them from the general population to discourage future protests and tank the radicalization. Prisons are an extreme step to regain control of your City and quash extreme Idealogies. Make sure to not abuse this power too much as you will lose a significant amount of Trust if you do so.
