The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, much like its predecessor, features a plethora of unique and challenging fights. While there are quite a few new enemies and bosses introduced in the sequel, most of the adversaries that you'll face throughout Hyrule are returning monsters from the previous game. One such returning type is the Lynel, the centaur-like creature.
Many considered Lynels as the most challenging enemies in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, especially the white-colored variant. While there are a few new enemies that can be quite demanding in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, nothing compares to the Lynels, which still firmly hold their place as the toughest enemies in the game.
Here's a comprehensive guide on how to easily defeat the Lynels in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Lynels are the toughest enemies in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, here's how to defeat them
The Lynels are easily the toughest and most ferocious enemies that you will come across while exploring Hyrule. Despite being a mini-boss, they boast healthbars that are as big as any other named boss, like the Battle Talus, that you may come across while exploring the open world. Fortunately, there are quite a few ways to defeat these ferocious centaur-like creatures.
Most of the attacks that you need to look out for while fighting a Lynel are close-ranged melee, with a few ranged elemental moves thrown into the mix. Most of them can be dodged rather easily, barring the elemental variants, which you will need to outrun or deflect. However, if you stay close to the enemy at all times, they will rarely, if at all, use their ranged attacks.
The melee swipes of a Lynel can easily be dodged or timed for a Flurry Rush, which will give you ample oppurtunities to dish out bonus damage. The Lynels are quite agile, and their attacks are quite fast as a result, leaving very short windows for you to either parry or dodge them. We recommend practicing your dodge timings and parries before you engage with the Lynels to maximize your chances at victory against them.
Alternatively, if you're not confident enough with your dodges, you can always choose the ranged option to deal damage to the Lynels, staying far away from their melee attacks. Stock up on elemental and exploding arrows alongside a good and sturdy bow, and you are set to defeat a Lynel, as long as you keep your distance.
The biggest challenge you'll face against a Lynel in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the massive healthpool of the enemy. However, don't let the Lynels' healthbar discourage you. Just keep attacking and use every tool available to you, while also keeping your distance from the enemy's attacks. By taking care of all these points, you should be able to defeat the monster easily.
