The Lynels are easily the toughest and most ferocious enemies that you will come across while exploring Hyrule. Despite being a mini-boss, they boast healthbars that are as big as any other named boss, like the Battle Talus, that you may come across while exploring the open world. Fortunately, there are quite a few ways to defeat these ferocious centaur-like creatures.

Most of the attacks that you need to look out for while fighting a Lynel are close-ranged melee, with a few ranged elemental moves thrown into the mix. Most of them can be dodged rather easily, barring the elemental variants, which you will need to outrun or deflect. However, if you stay close to the enemy at all times, they will rarely, if at all, use their ranged attacks.

The melee swipes of a Lynel can easily be dodged or timed for a Flurry Rush, which will give you ample oppurtunities to dish out bonus damage. The Lynels are quite agile, and their attacks are quite fast as a result, leaving very short windows for you to either parry or dodge them.
