The Dining Room Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake presents a new challenge to players as they explore the castle. Along with other tasks to attend to there, the story explains the importance of this area. However, players must overcome several puzzles and challenges while exploring this massive space.
One of the puzzles involves finding the heads of a Manticore, with the snake head being the final one. This is the reward for solving the Dining Room Puzzle and can be seen in a cage. While the puzzle may feel familiar to those who played the original RE4, there have been changes made to this cryptic challenge in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
How to quickly get through the Dining Room Puzzle of Resident Evil 4 Remake

However, the solution involves Ashley and getting her to sit in one of the chairs and ring the bell, which can be done by looking at her and pressing the R3 button.
Go up to the far end of the room and you’ll see two portraits. This is the beginning of the Dining Room Puzzle. You want to match these by having Ashley sit at the table matching where the woman is sitting, and Leon sit at the table matching the man.
For perspective on these place settings, walk to the spot where the portraits are, and turn to face the tables. Have Ashley sit at the first seat on the left, at the far table (the one closer to the exit of the room). You’ll also want to have Leon sit at the table closest to the portraits, the first seat on the right. Both characters will ring the bell, and you’ll unlock the snake head.
Though the Dining Room Puzzle can seem frustrating at first, once you realize you can make Ashley sit somewhere, the solution becomes incredibly simple. Just find the spots at the tables that match the portraits, ring the bells, and you can move deeper into the castle.
