With Alan Wake 2 The Lake House, Remedy Entertainment sought to build on the narrative of last year's celebrated survival horror game while also expanding the Remedyverse. This includes a sequence setting up the groundwork for a new Control (the 2019 supernatural third-person shooter also from the developer) title.
Since both Alan Wake and Control are part of the Remedyverse (Control's AWE DLC expansion even teased Alan Wake 2), this was to be expected. Now that the tables have turned, let's explore where you can find the Control 2 teaser in Alan Wake 2 The Lake House.
Note that there are spoilers for both the new Alan Wake 2 DLC and Control below.

Alan Wake 2 The Lake House Control 2 teaser explored
To find the Control 2 teaser in Alan Wake 2 The Lake House, you must reach Sublevel 4 in the Lake House (which you will do due to natural story progression). This is the Research Archives area, which has been turned into a spatially distorted labyrinth with Dr. Marmont's Office at the center.
Upon approaching it, you will be met with a brightly lit office. However, a switch outside the confines of the room allows the lights to be turned off. This turns the office into a more brooding version, with a projector playing back a video of a bitter Diana Marmont.
Curiously, there is also a ceiling light switch cord in the middle of the room, and protagonist Agent Estevez comments that the cord needs to be pulled three times. Fans of Control will know what to do even without the instructions.
Interacting with the cord thrice will teleport Estevez to the Oceanview Motel, a recurring alternate-dimensional location in both Alan Wake and Control. Proceeding through the corridor will lead her to the Panopticon, a key location in Control's ever-shifting setting of the Oldest House (also the headquarters of the secret organization Federal Bureau of Control).
Just like Control's protagonist and FBC Director Jesse Faden, Estevez will find a holding cell in this area with a human inside. This is none other than Jesse's missing brother Dylan Faden, whom the former had been tracking down ever since he went missing and finally encountered him during the events of Control.

As a powerful and dangerous "parautilitarian," Dylan had been placed under tight security in the 2019 game following unfortunate events that led to the Oldest House's invasion of the Hiss, a malicious entity from another dimension. With Dylan helping it take over the place, Jesse managed to get things under control by cutting off the entity's influence on her brother, sending him into a coma.
Fast forward to this moment in time, Estevez questions Dylan about what took over the FBC Headquarters, leading it to be shut down four years before the events of Alan Wake 2 The Lake House. This is followed by a series of flashbacks showcasing an altered New York City, which is also where the Oldest House was situated.
With the Hiss now seemingly escaped into the city, it remains to be seen how big the damage caused will be. Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that a Control sequel is in development, so to have a first teaser for what to expect is exciting for series fans and game theorists.
On a side note, this is an optional interaction in Alan Wake 2 The Lake House since the light switch cord can be easily missed by those not paying attention. If you progress past Sublevel 4, the only way to return would be by using a manual save file, so be sure to have different save slots.
Alan Wake 2 The Lake House DLC is out for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S as part of Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition.
