How to finish the Red Smoke Story mission in Warzone 2's DMZ

The DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has become very popular and offers some interesting tasks that you can accomplish to obtain amazing rewards. Red Smoke is a mission in this mode released with the Season 3 Reloaded update, and completing it provides you with the Blackhail weapon blueprint for the Fennec 45 SMG as well as an additional 40,000 XP.

Such missions are not difficult to complete, but they do necessitate some dedication and can be confusing to some gamers. This article will walk you through each stage of Red Smoke and help you finish it.

Red Smoke mission guide in Warzone 2 DMZ

The Redacted Faction comprises five tiers, each of which offers a bunch of missions. The fourth and fifth tiers were introduced with Season 3 Reloaded and focus primarily on the new DMZ location Koschei Complex. Red Smoke is the final mission in Redacted. In this tier-five undertaking, you will have to complete two tasks that are mentioned below:

• Take the four flare sticks from the Ashika town center dead drop.
• Light four flare sticks near the entrances of the chemical plant.

Deploy onto the Ashika Island map after entering a Warzone 2 DMZ match, then go to the Town Centre. The Dead Drop is located close to the gas station to the right of this area. You can interact with it to reveal a flare stick. Once you pick this item up, it will split into four; just make sure your backpack has four empty slots. This will successfully complete your first task.

Deploy into Warzone 2's Al Mazrah for the second part of the mission after successfully exiting Ashika Island with the flare sticks. You must now enter the Koschei Complex region using any of its available entrances. There are four on the map. The first is beneath the Taraq Village bridge, while the second one is in the Al Mazrah City parking lot. Another one is the oil field's middle in the Rohan Oil area. And the final one is in the desert area of Al Mazrah's Oasis region.

After entering Warzone 2's Koschei Complex, travel west and follow the red arrow markings on the wall. This will lead you to an airtight door; to open it, you will need car batteries and jumper cables, so bring them with you. The Chemical Plant is behind the locked door and is in this complex's core.

To complete the second task, you will need to throw the light flare sticks near the entrances to the Chemical Plant. Carry night goggles with you, as the area is completely dark. Near the bunker door, a prompt that says "Place flare stick" will pop up on your screen. The first flare can be thrown the moment you walk inside the Chemical Plant, so you will need to find three more entrances to it.

The area is compact, and you just need to move around the facility, hugging the wall. Whenever you see a bunker door, check for the prompt. If it appears, just interact with it. By doing this three more times, you'll complete the mission.

You don't have to worry about exiting the facility, as the mission will be over the moment you use the fourth flare.
