Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO allows players to compete as their favorite characters from the immensely vast Dragon Ball universe. It is the fourth installment in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, the first since 2007's Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Bearing the name of the series itself, the most important items in the series' universe are Dragon Balls.

The power of Dragon Balls in the anime and the game is incredible, providing immense power to the players. Within Sparking ZERO, acquiring them necessitates the player complete a few quest lines within the game, given by some NPCs. Here are the steps to acquire Dragon Balls in Sparking ZERO.

How to acquire Dragon Balls in Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO

First and foremost, players can acquire seven Shenron balls and seven Super Shenron balls by purchasing the Ultimate Edition of the game. Owners of these editions will have one wish granted by both of these dragons.

Others will have to complete some steps to acquire them, which involve playing the game, with the reward for claiming all seven being a chance to call upon one of the wish-granting dragons in the game.

The regular Dragon Balls can be claimed by completing tasks for the character Whis or by completing Zen-Oh's orders. Completing each challenge will reward the player with a Dragon Ball, and acquiring all seven in the set will allow players to summon the mythical Shenron.

Acquiring Namekian Dragon Balls to summon Porunga is more of a challenge, as presently, the only known way to acquire these is via random drops at the end of battles. Super Shenron Dragon Balls, on the other hand, are the hardest to get a hold of, though a complete set of the Dragon Balls to summon Super Shenron is earned upon completing Goku's Episode Battle.

Once the Dragon Balls have been collected, players can summon these mythical creatures from the "Come Forth" option in the menu. From here, players can ask Shenron and Super Shenron to grant wishes. Only one wish can be granted per summon, and summoning them again requires re-doing the aforementioned steps.
