How to get early access to Juno in Overwatch 2

Juno in Overwatch 2 is a brand-new Support hero in the game. The latest launch trailer showcases the much-awaited Hero and her unique set of abilities, alongside possible Hero synergies. Players have been awaiting Juno's release since the past year, when Aaron Keller, the Game Director of OW2 teased the character under the codename "Space Ranger" at Blizzcon 2023.

Players can claim their chance of getting early access to Juno in Overwatch 2 and try out the Hero before her official release. To know more about how you can get your hands on them, read below.

Note: Juno will not be accessible in the competitive playlist between July 19, 2024, to July 21, 2024. You will gain competitive access to the Hero upon her official release in Season 12.

Juno in Overwatch 2: Unlocking early access

Like previous Hero releases, such as that of Venture and Mauga, players will have an opportunity to playtest Juno in Overwatch 2 before her official release. The latest Support Hero will be available for early access playtest across all platforms, from July 19, 2024, to July 21, 2024.

Here's a step-by-step guide to getting access to Juno in Overwatch 2 during the Early Access period:

  1. Open Battle.net, or Steam (Your preferred client on PC), and log in with your credentials. Proceed to boot Overwatch 2. If you're on a console, you can directly boot up the game.
  2. If you're on Steam, authenticate your connection with your Battle.net account from the in-game menu.
  3. Proceed to queue for Quick Play either in the Open Queue or in the Role Queue (Locked to Support Class).
  4. Upon getting a match, quickly click on Juno and select her as your preferred Hero.

Following these steps will gain you instantaneous, and easy access to Juno in OW2. There is no bar on any player regarding playing as the new Support Hero. However, they must note that the queue time for Role Queue in Support Class will undoubtedly be extremely long.

If you do not have any intention of trying out the newest Support Hero in a real 5v5 match setting, you can join the game's practice range to try out her abilities. Here's the official breakdown of Juno's abilities in the game:

  • Mediablaster (Primary Fire): Burst fire weapon that can heal allies and also damage enemies.
  • Pulsar Torpedoes (Secondary Fire): Secondary fire allows you to lock onto allied targets, and send a burst of healing their way. Players can also use it as a tool to deal damage against enemies.
  • Glide Boost (Ability 1): Allows horizontal gliding with increased movement speed.
  • Hyper Ring (Ability 2): Deploys a ring that increases the movement speed of all allies that pass through it.
  • Orbital Ray (Ultimate): Calls down a massive ray from the sky that moves in the direction it was spawned. Allies in its effective range will receive healing, and withstand more damage.
  • Martian Overboots (Passive): Juno can both double-jump and glide when in the air.
