Dragon Ball Sparking Zero features an amazing cast of characters, including Goku (Mini), which may look familiar. Goku (Mini) is from the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima, where the cast of the globally popular manga/anime gets turned into mini/childlike versions of themselves. Goku (Mini) was revealed during the lead-up to the game’s launch as one of the characters that would be available, but only to a certain group of people.
Out of all the characters in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, Goku (Mini) is one of the few that appears to have only one frustrating unlock method. Here’s what we know about the adorable protagonist of Dragon Ball Daima, and how you can unlock him.

How to unlock Goku (Mini) in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Goku (Mini) is only a pre-order bonus for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. While the other pre-order bonuses were considered “Early Unlocks”, the Dragon Ball Daima star was off by himself as a separate playable character. That means he’s likely not going to be available anywhere else. What this means for players is that they need to do one of two things.
You either need the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero to get Goku (Mini), or pre-order the game at a physical retailer such as Gamestop, Best Buy, or another storefront. If you did, you should have an email that has a code to unlock the pre-order bonuses.
It’s entirely likely that Bandai Namco will give out Goku (Mini) in the future - we’ll reach out to see what the odds of that will be, or if there will be another method of unlocking him in the future. When we hear back, we’ll update this article accordingly. However, for now, there are only these two methods.
Is it worth it to get Goku (Mini) in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
Goku (Mini) is a really interesting character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. He plays a lot like you expect Kid Goku to - fast melee strikes, with a bit of extra reach thanks to the Power Pole. He only uses four points on your team, so you can slot him in with a wide assortment of characters for competitive builds.
He has two excellent Skill abilities - Sleep and Warm-up Exercise. Sleep is a brief nap that heals Goku (Mini) for a full health bar, which is amazing. It’s not as great as Yajirobe’s Sensu Beans, but it’s still great. Warm-up Exercise buffs three of his stats by two levels, making it a solid buff as well.
However, all three of Goku (Mini)’s other moves are rush melee strikes. If you’d rather use full-screen Kamehameha Waves, this isn’t the character for you. That said, I really like his damage output, his movement, and his healing ability. He’s worth having on the team.
