How to get Ice Heart in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Ice Heart in Disney Dreamlight Valley is one of the quest items required to complete The Final Trial quest. Completing this final friendship quest by Merlin will reward you with Friendship Level 10 gifts and upgrade your Royal Watering Can. Once upgraded, the Watering Can remove the large mushroom patches spread across the Valley, allowing you to receive rewards and unlocking a certain hidden route in the Glade of Trust biome.

While you need three items in total to complete Merlin’s quest, Ice Heart, in particular, can be the most confusing to find. That said, this guide will help you acquire the Ice Heart in Disney Dreamlight Valley so you can complete the Final Trial quest and proceed further into the game.

How to find Ice Heart in Disney Dreamlight Valley

1) Receive the Ice Heart Seed

To get Ice Heart in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must complete Wall-E’s Shy Little Robot quest and reach Level 10 Friendship with Merlin. This will allow you to begin The Final Trial quest. After starting the quest, talk to Merlin and he will request you to craft a Night Shard Powder.

You can craft a Purified Night Shard by combining 25x Night Shards and 5x Dream Shards at the Dreamlight Valley Crafting Table. With Purified Night Shard in your inventory, talk to Wall-E and he will crush the shard into Night Shard Powder. Take that to Merlin to receive a recipe book along with the Ice Tear Seed.

2) Plant the Ice Tear Seed

Merlin doesn’t provide hints on how to convert the Ice Tear Seed into Ice Heart. However, since it’s a seed, you simply need to plant it. Dig the ground using your shovel and plant the Ice Tear Seed. Water it and the seed will grow into an Ice Heart plant. Once the Ice Heart plant is fully grown, interact with it to receive the Ice Heart in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Despite its name, you don’t need to plant Ice Tear Seed inside a cold biome. You can plant it in any location like the Peaceful Meadow or the Plaza and the plant will grow just fine.

How to upgrade the Royal Watering Can

Apart from Ice Heart, you will need to collect Falling Water and 25 Mushrooms to upgrade the watering can. Here’s how you can find these items:

• 1x Falling Water: You can spot the veil containing Falling Water at the waterfall located on the southern edge of Glade of Trust. You can retrieve Falling Water by simply interacting with the item.
• 25x Mushroom: Mushrooms spawn randomly across the Glade of Trust biome so simply explore the area and pick them.

Once you have collected Ice Heart, Falling Water, and 25 Mushrooms, head to a Crafting Table to craft a “Royal Watering Can Upgrading Ointment”. Then take this ointment to Merlin and he will upgrade your Royal Watering Can.
