How to acquire the Merc sniper rifle in Stalker 2

The Location

The titular sniper rifle can be found inside the Rostok depot. It is located in the southwest part of the Rostok region. While you can locate the depot by yourself, if you don't mind waiting for it, many main missions, such as 'An Invisible Threat' or 'Dawn of A New Day' in Stalker 2, will include you traveling to the depot, saving you some precious time and energy drinks.

Once located, visit the depot from the opening beside the two barns. A part of the wall would be missing in the exterior of the depot. Head inside, walk through the plank, and look behind. You'll see an opening on your right, besides some Ukrainian writing and a few barrels.

Head inside it and take a left, where you'll find a duffel bag highlighted by some yellow parts. Open it to find the Merc sniper rifle.

The Merc is a modified version of the VS Vintar rifle. It has an enhanced stock, a shortened barrel, and an alternative stock — a noticeable upgrade from the base sniper rifle. It can be an incredible rifle for the campaign, considering a sniper can provide you with the advantage of shooting over long distances, mostly avoiding enemy fire, especially one with a perfect accuracy stat.
