How to get the Partner sniper rifle in Stalker 2

The Partner sniper rifle is a Unique weapon in Stalker 2, and one of the few modified firearms that cannot be accessed by exploration. To acquire it, you must complete a specific side quest. It is an incredible sniper, especially for the mid-game, considering it lets you take down henchmen without entering their line of fire.

How to acquire the Partner sniper rifle in Stalker 2

Note: You must complete the "Just Like the Good Old Days" main mission beforehand.

The quest

You can acquire the Partner while completing the "On The Edge" side quest, which picks up immediately after the "Just like the Good Old Days" main mission. You'll get a call from Zalissya, which asks for your help after being assaulted by the Monolith faction; you must reach there before all the inhabitants are killed. It is recommended that you proceed to Zalissya immediately, considering that as of this writing, there is a bug that can put the questline out of order.

Start a conversation with a man named Gaffer, and back out of it, to receive two objectives:

• Get supplies from Hamster
• Find Warlock's weapon (Optional)

After confronting Hamster, choose the dialogue according to your wish; it doesn't affect your chances of obtaining the gun in Stalker 2. To acquire the Partner sniper rifle, you must complete Warlock's optional objective, which is finding his gun.

Head into the nearby garage after confronting Hamster. There, you can retrieve Warlock's weapon, the Partner. However, if you want to keep the modded firearm for yourself, hide it in the stash to the right of Warlock before starting the conversation with him. After this, you can follow the main quest and complete it to your liking.
