Acquiring all the Sage Abilities in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
You will face many challenging enemies in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and it is beneficial to use every gameplay mechanic at your disposal to gain an edge in the battle. Sage Abilities can be used in combat scenarios, puzzle solving, and some exploration sections.
There are a total of five sages in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and you can refer to the following requirements to obtain them:
- Yunobo: You must complete the Yunobo of Goron City quest to obtain Yunobo’s fire-related ability.
- Sidon: Successfully finish the Sidon of Zora quest to acquire Sidon’s water-oriented ability.
- Tulin: It is necessary to complete the Tulin of Rito Village quest to acquire Tulin’s ability associated with the wind element.
- Riju: You can obtain Riju’s lightning-related power by completing the Riju of Gerudo Town quest.
- Mineru: You must complete the Guidance of Ages Past quest to unlock Mineru’s Construct-related power.
Yunobo enables you to decimate any obstacle blocking the entrance and can also be used to deal fire damage by shooting flames onto opponents in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. As part of the quest to unlock this sage, you must complete the Fire Temple and defeat a boss named Marbled Gohma.
Sidon’s water-oriented ability grants you a shield that protects you from enemy attacks, and you can even swing your weapon while using it to unleash wave slashes. The quest related to Sidon will take you through the Water Temple, wherein you must beat Mucktorok.
Tulin possesses the Gust ability that enables Link to cover more distance while using the paraglider. You can use it against some weaker adversaries in combat as well. The Wind Temple is associated with Tulin, wherein you must face off against Colgera.
Riju grants a lightning field within which, if you shoot an arrow, a lightning strike is unleashed on the ground, damaging any foe in its contact. It is necessary to solve the Lightning Temple in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and defeat Queen Gibdo to obtain Riju’s ability.
The final sage is Mineru, who allows you to control a Construct resembling a robot. You must defeat the Seized Construct boss in the Spirit Temple encountered during the Guidance of Ages Past quest to obtain Mineru’s assistance.
