Below, you will find all the methods to get each type of Shock Chip in ZZZ.
1) Combat Simulation (Basic, Advanced, and Specialized Shock Chip)
You can get Investigator Logs, W-Engine Batteries, Dennies, and more in-game items by defeating enemies in the Combat Simulation or VR device. It also grants each type of Shock Chip. Go to the HIA Club and talk to Bertha NPC to enter the Combat Simulation. Then, select the Agent Skill menu, where you will find skill-upgrading chips for each attribute.
Switch to the Current Test to farm for Shock Chips. Then, select the number of enemies you want to fight against by clicking their cards. You must spend 20 Battery Charges for each foe. After that, click Next, choose your squad, and defeat enemies to complete the stage and get Shock Chip in Zenless Zone Zero.
The Combat Simulation also has varying difficulty levels, from the lowest, Levels 10, 20, 30, and 40, to the highest Level 50. You will get a Basic Shock Chip by defeating enemies at lower levels, and beating those of higher difficulties will grant Advanced and Specialized Shock Chips.
The difficulty level unlocks after reaching certain Inter-Knot reputations in ZZZ. Here are the details:
- Level 10: Available while unlocking the game mode
- Level 20: Certified Proxy Reputation
- Level 30: Senior Proxy Reputation
- Level 40: Elite Proxy Reputation
- Level 50: Legendary Proxy Reputation
2) Craft (Advanced and Specialized Shock Chip)
The Crafting feature helps you obtain an Advanced and Specialized Shock Chip in Zenless Zone Zero. You can craft an Advanced Shock Chip upon reaching the Inter-Knot Level 20 and Specialized at the Inter-Knot Level 40.

3) Dismantle (Basic and Advanced Shock Chip)
While crafting, you must combine items of lower rarity to craft the highest ones. On the contrary, while dismantling, you disintegrate higher-rarity items to obtain lower-rarity ones. In this case, you can dismantle Specialized to obtain Advanced, and those to obtain the Basic Shock Chip in Zenless Zone Zero.

Fading Signals are the in-game items you can obtain by pulling on the Zenless Zone Zero banners. You can obtain an Advanced Shock Chip in exchange for these. Go to the 24-Hour Store > Signal Shop > Fading Signal to make exchanges. The Fading Signal Section grants an Advanced Chip of all attributes.
One Advanced Shock Chip in Zenless Zone Zero requires exchanging 12 Fading Signals. You can make the exchange up to 50 times until the shop resets.
