How to get Somersault Cloud spell in Black Myth Wukong

The story of Black Myth Wukong takes players on a journey to ancient China and lets them control the protagonist, who is fondly called the "Destined One," Sun Wukong. The journey has him fight bosses and beasts of immense sizes, and he can use many methods and ways to defeat them in battle.

One of the spells that Sun Wukong can use is the Somersault Cloud spell, which is unlocked late in the game while playing through Chapter 6, the final chapter. Acquiring this spell is great for traversal, and makes getting around the map much easier for the player and for Sun Wukong.

Where to acquire the Somersault Cloud spell

The process of acquiring the Somersault Cloud spell is not as lengthy as it is difficult, as it involves having to defeat a certain boss. Located in the Mount Huaguo region, the player must help Sun Wukong defeat the Supreme Inspector in the Foothills region.

Luckily, he is found not too far from the Verdant Path Keeper's Shrine, and he is also a main boss the player must fight to complete the story. Approaching the boss, a cutscene will play to alert the player of the impending fight. The battle is quite lengthy, and players will have to be very strategic in defeating this boss. Some tips would be to use the Immobilize spell to great effect and to keep dodging.

Once defeated, the player will be rewarded with the usual XP and Will, along with a Celestial Ribbon, and the Somersault Cloud spell. The spell allows the protagonist to summon a cloud at will, which can immensely help in traversal and make otherwise long journeys much less tedious.

How to use the Somersault Cloud Spell

Since this is a spell and not an item, it must first be equipped to allow the player to use it. Once equipped, traversal around Mount Huaguo becomes much easier. The game locks the use of the spell in any region other than that of Chapter 6. Additionally, the spell cannot be used in combat.

Despite these restrictions, the spell makes traveling to the smaller regions of Chapter 6 much easier and faster. It also does not have a cooldown and does not cost any Mana, making for easy usage.
