Disney Dreamlight Valley incorporates numerous noteworthy gameplay mechanics, akin to those found in modern adventure games. Nevertheless, the slow speed at which the protagonist moves can pose challenges when searching for items and accomplishing quests. Fortunately, the Pride of the Valley update allows you to efficiently glide through the valley, significantly increasing your character's speed compared to running.
This Disney Dreamlight Valley guide highlights the tutorial on how to glide and obtain this ability.

The only way to obtain the gliding technique is to activate the "Well-Fed" buff first. It can be achieved by eating nourishing meals with high energy values.
To begin, your energy bar must be at maximum capacity. If it is not, you need to consume food or rest at home until the energy bar turns fully blue. The subsequent step requires you to consume more foods, as this is essential for the process of gilding. This is because gilding necessitates the acquisition of the exclusive "Well-Fed" buff, which can only be attained through the act of eating.
The "Well-Fed" energy bar is represented in a vibrant shade of yellow, while the regular energy bar remains displayed in its customary blue hue. Your character uses the yellow bar's energy to glide around the valley.

How to increase the movement speed by gliding in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
When the "Well-Fed" buff is activated in Disney Dreamlight Valley, a Sprint option will become visible on the lower-left corner of the screen. Here are the default Sprint buttons to glide when playing on different systems:
- PC: Left Shift
- Xbox: B
- PlayStation: Circle
- Nintendo Switch: B
Notably, gliding around the valley will gradually reduce your energy level. Once you have exhausted the extra energy provided by the "Well-Fed" buff, your ability to glide will be lost. Subsequently, your character will resume moving at a regular speed until you consume additional meals to replenish your buff.
