How to groom animals in Infinity Nikki

Grooming animals is an ability in Infinity Nikki that allows you to pet animals and obtain valuable items from them. Grooming animals is similar to other abilities in the title such as fishing and bug catching, all of which require players to craft and wear specific outfits. To groom animals, players will need to unlock and craft the Animal-Grooming outfit.

This article acts as a guide on crafting this outfit and using it to groom animals in Infinity Nikki.

How can you groom animals in Infinity Nikki?

To approach animals and groom them, you will first need to unlock a special Animal-Grooming outfit called Bye-Bye Dust. You can get this outfit while playing the Land of Wishes main quest in Chapter 1: Wishes Without Wings. In this quest, Ruby and Jean ask you for help with obtaining a Floof Yarn. Once you reach this part of the quest, you can unlock and craft the animal grooming outfit.

Follow these steps to do so:

1. Unlock the Bye-Bye Dust outfit sketch

You will first need to unlock the Bye-Bye Dust outfit sketch from the Heart of Infinity. Unlock the aforementioned outfit using two Whimstars.

2. Craft the Bye-Bye Dust outfit

After unlocking the outfit sketch using your Whimstars, you can open the Sketches menu (which you can access quickly by pressing the Y key). Find the Bye-Bye Dust outfit sketch. You will need these materials to craft it:

• 4 Daisy
• 24 Thread of Purity

After collecting these materials, click on ‘Quick Craft’ to craft the outfit. You will now have the Bye-Bye Dust outfit, which can be used in animal grooming.

Grooming animals

To groom animals and collect materials from them, you will need to put on the special animal grooming outfit. When you are grooming an animal for the first time during the quest, the animal grooming ability will be automatically activated for you. Later on in the game, when you have learned more abilities, you will need to manually switch to the animal grooming ability from the ability wheel (press TAB).

Once you have switched to the animal grooming ability, stealthily approach an animal by holding down the right mouse button. Once you get close enough, and when they are ready to be groomed, a Groom symbol (that looks like a brush) will appear above the animal’s head.

At this point, release the right mouse button to start the animal grooming process. All animals in Infinity Nikki can be approached and groomed this way.
