When you speak to the Man in Stone, he will tell you that he’s trapped and needs your help to get out. Now, this can get confusing for a lot of people. It wouldn’t be surprising if someone tried to pull out Man in Stone, like Alexander in Elden Ring.

How players can help Man in Stone in Black Myth Wukong?

The first step to helping the Man in Stone in Black Myth Wukong is to make our way to the caves of Fright Cliff. To get there, start from the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine and stick to the left path to make your way to the caves. You must take on two Rock Guai inside the cave.

After you’re done dealing with the enemies inside, head straight through the cave and you should reach an exit. Turn around from the exit and continue heading left to go deeper into the cave. Continue heading straight and you will reach the Mother of Stones.

This boss will be lying on top of a platform at the end of the cave. The Mother of Caves is pretty easy to take down, as the only thing she does is summon Rock Guais to attack you during the fight. All you must do is take care of the Rock Guais patiently and continue chipping away at the boss’ health.

Once you defeat Mother of Stones, you will receive the Stone Essence. Now, you can return to the Man in Stone and hand over the Stone Essence. The Man in Stone will take it and instantly betray you. As it turns out, all he wanted was someone to fetch him the Stone Essence.

Now that you have helped the Man in Stone in Black Myth Wukong, you can attack him. Doing so will trigger a small boss fight against him. He is fairly easy to take down and will run back into the ground once you’ve defeated him. After you win against him, he will try and make amends.

First, he will return the Stone Essence to you and will also grant you the Azure Dust transformation. This turns you into a Rock Guai and makes you vulnerable to the Four Banes. Azure Dust excels when used against enemies who deal elemental damage and lack mobility.

Now, if you rest at the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine and return to the Man in Stone, he’ll sell you his treasures in return for Will. Man in Stone has two crucial items for sale, so do make sure to browse through his wares. That concludes Man in Stone’s quest line in Black Myth Wukong.
