How to leave Simulanka in Genshin Impact: Two ways mentioned by Alice explained

Simulanka is the new limited-time area that has been released in Genshin Impact version 4.8. The main story quest for Simulanka involves players having to help the residents of the magical fairytale world and also save the dragon Durin. At the end of the quest, players learn that the world of Simulanka was created by three witches from the Hexenzirkel: A, B, and M.

A is Alice, Klee's mother, and players get to talk to her at the very end of the main quest. Alice has been featured in every summer patch yet, so it's no surprise that she is part of the Simulanka story as well.

Ways to leave Simulanka in Genshin Impact

At the end of the main Simulanka story quest, Alice appears before the traveler and their group as a talking lamp. During the subsequent conversation, she tells them that they can leave Simulanka in two ways: taking the boat at the Broken Sea, or touching the giant bookmark at the Cliff of Prophecy.

These two items (the boat and the bookmark) are not interactable before the end of the main Summertide Scales and Tales event quest, so players can follow Alice's instructions only after the main quest has been completed.

Leaving Simulanka by taking the boat at Broken Sea

This is the first way described by Alice for players who have completed the main quest to leave Simulanka. At the specific marked location in Broken Sea, you will find a paper boat that can now be interacted with. You can choose the 'Head to Teyvat' option to directly teleport to Mondstadt.

After teleporting, you will find yourself in front of a table behind the building of Timaeus' crafting bench. A pop-up map of Simulanka is present on the table, and interacting with it will take you back to Simulanka again.

Leaving Simulanka by touching the bookmark at the Cliff of Prophecy

The second way to leave Simulanka as explained by Alice is by touching the giant bookmark at the Cliff of Prophecy in the Forest of Blessings region. Coincidentally, this is the same area where travelers find themselves after waking up in Simulanka for the first time (Day 1 of the Summertide Scales and Tales quest).

Head over to the giant blue bookmark and click the 'Head to Teyvat' option to teleport out of Simulanka. Doing so teleports you out of the magical realm of Simulanka and into the same place in Mondstadt as the boat does.
