Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is a non-linear adventure, seeing players explore to their heart's content at the cost of inevitable backtracking. Fans will span several hours across varied biomes, finding new powerups and fighting powerful bosses.

There are ample opportunities to get lost in and around the world map of Mount Qaf, begging the question of game length. With modern titles ballooning in size thanks to massive worlds and filler content, does that also ring true of Ubisoft's latest Metroidvania experience?

Those looking to breeze through the campaign will still need to spend a decent amount of time becoming intimately familiar with the time-distorted world of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. On average, the main story will take 20-25 hours to complete, which is longer than most modern Metroidvanias. However, throwing in the challenge aspect, players can expect their stay in Mount Qaf to be extended slightly.

Developer Ubisoft Montpellier has crafted an engaging action platformer game ripe with challenges, featuring masterful combat and multiple bosses, so multiple player deaths won't be uncommon. There are over half a dozen unique side missions to discover as well.

Furthermore, in typical Metroidvania fashion, secrets lurk around every corner. From lore-related collectibles to upgrade items, players wanting to reach 100% completion can expect to spend 40-50 hours. So, fans need not worry about the content.
