Black Myth Wukong is a pretty lengthy adventure, which should come as a surprise to many who thought of the game as a "boss rush." There are plenty of bosses to be fought in each of the chapters the game has to offer. On top of this, there are equal and ample opportunities to explore these chapters and even discover hidden secrets as well as optional questlines.
In many ways, Black Myth is very similar to FromSoftware's Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, albeit without the interconnectivity. Despite the game being divided into chapters, it's not a linear adventure. Each of the chapters is its own sandbox, akin to a Hitman level, with plenty to do and discover.
Here's a look at the completion time for Black Myth Wukong, including the time that should take for a casual, as well as a completionist playthrough.

Black Myth Wukong completion time explored
An average playthrough of Black Myth Wukong should last you somewhere within the ballpark of 40-50 hours, depending on how many side quests you complete, bosses you fight, and, of course, your skill ceiling. That said, if you're someone who just wants to get done with the game as fast as possible, going for only the main story should last you roughly 30-35 hours.
However, it should be mentioned that beelining Black Myth isn't recommended. This is partly due to the steep difficulty of the final few chapters, and also because doing so will have you miss some of the best moments the game has to offer. That said, if you're skilled enough, completing only the main story is totally an option.
If you beeline, however, you will also be missing out on some of the most powerful Spells, weapon upgrades, Spirits, and Transformations. Although Black Myth Wukong projects itself as a linear action RPG, each of its chapters is quite vast and rich in quality content. Yes, there are plenty of boss fights, but there are also plenty of avenues for exploration as well.
Now, for the completionist playthrough, you're looking at roughly 80-100 hours of playtime. That includes collecting all the trophies (which will require multiple playthroughs on New Game+) and also finding all the secrets. There are a total of 81 trophies in Black Myth, and on my first playthrough, which clocked in at 62 hours, I was only able to unlock 42 of them.
Suffice it to say, Black Myth Wukong is a very content-rich game, one that should easily last you a couple of weeks, if not more, especially if you plan to get the Platinum trophy for it.
