MiSide brings an all-new indie exsperience to the table, melding the cuteness of a dating sim with horror elements. Set inside a video game world, players will meet a variety of virtual girls named Mitas, each of whom will have their own role to play during the terrifying plot. It is a gripping tale, one filled with many dangers, mysteries, and puzzles.

It is not a particularly long game, even for a first playthrough. Expect the story to last around four-to-five hours for a basic run if you are speeding through the narrative without paying attention to optional activities. These include taking note of interactive objects in the surroundings, minigames, collectibles, and so on.

MiSide is also a linear game with no sandbox elements to be found. As such, players will find themselves moving between tight-knit areas and set-pieces at a stable pace, which is refreshing for many in a market saturated with open-world titles.

Those who wish to see all that MiSide has to offer can expect an eight-to-12 hour runtime since the game boasts multiple endings. This adds replayability on top of the existing bonuses, ensuring players have an incentive to return to the world of the Mitas.

Developed by indie studio AIHASTO, MiSide is a horror game where players are thrust into a digital world where they can spend time with called Mitas, each with distinct personalities. When one of the Mitas goes rogue and starts capturing players and causing chaos, the protagonist must escape this virtual reality with the help of the other Mitas.

What follows is a double-whammy of laid-back moments of getting to know some of the Mitas in peaceful respite and heart-pounding moments of danger escaping and hiding from threats. A variety of minigames await discovery, from simple party and rhythm games to arcade and puzzle offerings, each distinct in design and gameplay from the other.
