It is in New Game+ where you will find yourself constantly swapping armor sets, upgrading them, and making them work towards a specific build or playstyle.

The primary focus for the best New Game+ build in Black Myth Wukong is creating a balance between strength and defense. Given bosses and even regular enemies get a significant damage and defense boost in New Game+, you'd want a build that not only deals ample damage to enemies but also makes sure it's not compromising on the Destined One's core defenses.

For such a build, the best choice came down to two armor sets - the Monkey King's set and the Bull King's set. However, I ended up using the Bull King's set due to two major factors - higher Defense and increased Focus build-up, both of which play a crucial role in this build's weapon of choice.

For the weapon, the options were either Stormflash Loong Staff or Dark Iron Staff. I ended up picking the Dark Iron Staff, due to its synergy with high-defense armor sets like the Bull King's set. While the Dark Iron Staff's base attack power is lower than that of the Stromflash Loong Staff or the Jingubang, it's not much of an issue, thanks to its primary perk.

The Dark Iron Staff's damage increases in proportion to the Destined One's attack power. As such, if you boost your defenses to their maximum limits, that directly translates to higher attack power. And with the Bull King's set, which drastically increases Defense, you can reach roughly 250 AR, without any passive buffs.
