Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame is easily the most spectacular boss in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, which is quite surprising considering it's an optional Remembrance boss. While you can entirely skip Midra's boss fight and beeline the main story bosses, it's not advisable to do so, especially considering the rewards that you get for defeating this optional boss.
Although you don't necessarily get to wield the power of the Frenzied Lord even if you get the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending in the base game, Midra's Remembrance may let you do just that, albeit with some limitations.
It gives you access to his Greatsword as well as an incredibly powerful Incantation. Using both these tools, you can create an incredibly overpowered Frenzy Flame build that also works well as a PvP build. Here's a breakdown of the Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame build in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Breakdown of the Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame build in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
After you defeat Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame, you're rewarded with his Remembrance, which you can use to craft two things - the Greatsword of Damnation, which is an excellent melee weapon, and Midra's Flame of Frenzy, an equally excellent Incantation. Both of these play a crucial role in the Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame build.
While you can only get one of the items from the Remembrance, we recommend duplicating it and grabbing both the Greatsword as well as the Incantation. While your primary damage dealer will be the Greatsword of Damnation, the build also heavily relies on Frenzy Incantations for DPS.
Although the Greatsword of Damnation can deal a good amount of damage, it unfortunately doesn't have any Frenzy build-up, which feels odd, especially for a build that's focused on Flame of Frenzy.
As such, you will need to rely on Frenzy Incantations if you want to role-play as the Lord of Frenzied Flame. Thankfully, Midra's Flame of Frenzy is an incredibly powerful Incantation that deserves to be added to your arsenal despite its high Faith requirement, especially if you're going for a Frenzy Flame build.
That being said, here's a breakdown of the Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame build in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree:
Weapon(s)
- Greatsword of Damnation +10
- Fire Knight's Seal +25
Talismans:
- Erdtree's Favor
- Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
- Godfrey Icon
- Faithful's Canvas Talisman
Armor:
- Caterpillar Mask
- Fell Omen Cloak
- Braided Arm Wraps
- Soiled Loincloth
This build has been created using a Level 205 character; however, you can make the Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame build with a Level 180+ character as well. Here's the stat distribution:
- Vigor: 60
- Mind: 30
- Endurance: 40
- Strength: 50
- Dexterity: 20
- Intelligence: 9
- Faith: 67
- Arcane: 8
It should be noted that some of the end-game bosses in both Elden Ring's base game as well as Shadow of the Erdtree expansion are immune or resistant to Frenzy. As such, this build might not be very effective in those scenarios.
However, since the Midra build is more or less a Strength-Faith build with some Frenzy Incantations, you can easily repurpose for other weapons and Incantations without reallocating your stat points. The best weapons for this build are Black Steel Hammer, Blasphemous Blade, Godslayer's Greatsword, and Maliketh's Black Blade.
