Unlocking new recipes and machinery in Satisfactory requires you to complete certain Milestones in the MAM building and the Hub. Since the Smokeless Powder is a part of the Sulfur Research chain in the MAM building, you must complete the relevant research tasks for MAM.

Here are the items you must submit to MAM to unlock Smokeless Powder:

• 10x Sulfur
• 50x Sulfur, 25x Coal
• 25x Sulfur, 50x Modular Frame, 100x Rotor
• 100x Black Powder, 50x Encased Industrial Beam
• 50x Black Powder, 100x Steel Pipe, 200x Cable
• 1x Hard Drive, 25x Sulfur, 25x Coal
• 1x Hard Drive, 15x Compacted Coal, 50x Packaged Fuel
• 100x Black Powder, 50x Plastic

Once you unlock the recipe for Smokeless Powder through MAM, it can be crafted through the Refinery building using 2x Black Powder and 1x Heavy Oil Residue.

Once obtained, the Smokeless Powder can be used as a crafting ingredient for the following items:

• Explosive Rebar: 2x Iron Rebar, 2x Smokeless Powder, 2x Steel Pipe
• Nuke Nobelisk: 5x Nobelisk, 20x Encased Uranium Cell, 10x Smokeless Powder, 6x AI Limiter

How to unlock MAM in Satisfactory

MAM is one of the first craftable buildings you can unlock from the Field Research tab of the Tier 1 milestone. The milestone costs 300x Wire, 100x Iron Plate, and 300 Screws. Once unlocked, it can be crafted using 5x Reinforced Iron Plate, 15x Cable, and 45x Wire.

Unlike the Hub, MAM can be used in any location and multiple MAM buildings can exist at one time. That said, all the MAM buildings share a common progress tree, meaning you can’t construct multiple buildings to work on multiple research tasks simultaneously.
