Destiny 2 Lightfall is being retailed for USD 49.99 on the standard edition. However, some places sell the Deluxe edition for more than USD 80.
It’s about that time again, as the formerly independent Sony developer Bungie is on the road to the next Destiny 2 expansion. It’s called Lightfall and will arrive on all video game machines on February 28, 2023.
What is Destiny 2 Lightfall about?
To save the universe in Destiny 2 Lightfall, Guardians must fight the Vex and Callus' Shadow Legion in the secret, high-tech city of Neomuna on Neptune. The invading forces on Neomuna are a threat, forcing the deployment of numerous formidable Subclasses equipped with Strand's newly discovered powers. This is significant in the Destiny 2 campaign, which may be played alone or with up to two other Guardians.
Besides that, you'll be able to freely explore Neomuna's city with your Strand grappling talents, battle through the new Root of Nightmares Raid, collect unique Exotic weapons and gear, and fight on home turf in Season of Defiance.
How much is Destiny 2 Lightfall?
Destiny 2: Lightfall is the standard edition or base expansion, sitting at USD 49.99. In the “Deluxe Edition” spot, Bungie’s brand functions similarly to previous Deluxe SKUs. But the price is higher, from $80 to $100.
Are there new weapons in Destiny 2 Lightfall?
Destiny 2 Lightfall will include a slew of Legendary weaponry and balancing tweaks to shake up the present sandbox. After being the DPS champs for so long, Non-Exotic Linear Fusion Rifles are finally getting nerfed, while Heavy Grenade Launchers and Machine Guns are getting significant benefits.
Many old Exotic weapons are also undergoing minor reworks to accommodate specific new Subclass keywords: Two-Tailed Fox currently has scorching and silencing rockets, but if you receive the Two-Tailed Fox catalyst in Lightfall, it'll add an Arc keyword (either jolt or blind - Bungie hasn't said) to round things out. One Thousand Voices and Sunshot explosions will be scorched, and the Leviathan's Breath bow will get volatile Void arrows on flawless pulls. These are only the most significant Destiny 2 weapon tuning improvements coming in Lightfall, so stay updated for the others.
