The Jar Cannon is easily one of the most fascinating weapons you can find in Elden Ring. Not only does it bridge the gap between high DPS Colossal Weapons and ranged weapons in the game, but it also makes for an incredibly excellent choice for PvP and Invasions. What's better is that the Jar Cannon can be obtained fairly early in Elden Ring.

You get the Jar Cannon at Mount Gelmir, near the Volcano Manor. However, unlike some of the unique weapons that you can find simply by exploring the open world of the Lands Between, the Jar Cannon comes as a reward for completing one of the optional dungeons in the game.

Here's a comprehensive guide on how to easily obtain the Jar Cannon early, in Elden Ring.

Where to find the Jar Cannon in Elden Ring?

The Jar Cannon is a reward for completing the Volcano Cave in Elden Ring. The Volcano Cave is one of the optional dungeons that you can find to the north of Mount Gelmir, accessible either from the Altus Plateau or the Volcano Manor. While both Altus Plateau and Volcano Manor are easy to find, the same isn't true for the Volcano Cave.

You can technically find the Volcano Cave while scaling Mount Gelmir; however, much like any other optional area and dungeon in Elden Ring as well as the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, it's very easy to miss the exact location.

If you want a straight path to the Volcano Cave, you can get to the Windmill Village, and backtrack to Mount Gelmir from there. From the Windmill Village, you will find a straight path leading to the foot of Mount Gelmir. Once you reach the Bridge of Iniquity Site of Grace, it's a short climb to reach the Volcano Cave.

From the Bridge of Iniquity, head straight to the northwest, and past the Abductor Virgins you will find a ladder to the left, which leads you to another Site of Grace. You will have to keep to the northwest for a while to reach the Volcano Cave. Once you make it to the top of the plateau, keep to the left, past the small enemy outpost.

You will find the Volcano Cave to the left of the plateau before you make your descent to the Volcano Manor. Once you reach the Volcano Cave, be ready to fight a small group of Demi-Humans as well as a Demi-Human Chief. Once you dispatch all the enemies in the cave, proceed to the boss room, which houses the Demi-Human Queen Margot.

Defeat Demi-Human Queen Margot to obtain the Jar Cannon. Additionally, if you're looking for another similar weapon, you can find one in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, by completing Rabbath's Rise.
