The Arsenal Charm is essentially the most important aspect of any Strength-focused build in Elden Ring, or even Shadow of the Erdtree. While some of the Talismans from the base game received updated (and more powerful) versions of them with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, the Arsenal Charm didn't receive any such upgrade.

Hence, the Talisman is still incredibly viable for Strength builds, in Elden Ring. The Arsenal Charm reduces the total encumbrance of your equipment, making it possible to equip the heaviest weapons, without having to worry about "fat-rolling," or compromising your defensive attributes.

Moreover, given the aggression of the bosses and enemies in Elden Ring, fat-rolling isn't really viable outside of very few playstyles. What's even better is that you can get the Arsenal Charm fairly early, without having to complete any elaborate NPC questline.

Here's a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the Arsenal Charm in Elden Ring.

Where to find the Arsenal Charm in Elden Ring?

The easiest way to obtain the Arsenal Charm is to help Nepheli Loux, one of the earliest NPCs you will meet in Elden Ring by defeating the demigod, Godrick the Grafted. Fortunately, you won't have to look too far in search of Godrick the Grafted as he is technically the first major story-related Remembrance boss you will fight in Elden Ring.

Godrick the Grafted is seated within the Stormfront Castle, the first major legacy dungeon that you will come up against in the game. However, it should be noted that before you head into Stormveil, you will need to defeat Margit the Fell Omen, who can be quite challenging, especially for an early-game boss.

While I recommend taking on Margit and subsequently Godrick at Level 30 or higher, you can technically defeat them at Level 20-25, granted you do have a powerful enough weapon. One of the best weapons for these two bosses that you can get pretty easily is the Bloodhound's Fang, which you get after defeating Bloodhound Knight Darriwil.

Once you reach Stormfront Castle, proceed until you reach the Secluded Cell Site of Grace. From that Site of Grace, instead of heading into the boss fog and fighting Godrick immediately, head in the opposite direction. Towards the exit of the Secluded Cell, you will face a few enemies and a Troll. Defeat all the enemies and keep heading south.

You will eventually come across a small isolated part of the castle. Head into the small room and you will find Nepheli Loux there. Talk to Nepheli and exhaust her dialogue. Next, head back to the Secluded Cell Site of Grace and then toward the boss fog.

After interacting with Nepheli, she will appear as a co-operator for the battle against Godrick. Summon Nepheli, before you head into the boss fight, to start her questline. After you defeat Godrick the Grafted, head back to the Roundtable Hold, where you can again find Nepheli Loux outside Gideon's room. Talk to her to get the Arsenal Charm.

There's also a more powerful version of the Arsenal Charm in Elden Ring, the Great Jar's Arsenal, which can be obtained after defeating all the Great Jar's Warriors in Caelid. However, the area leading to the Great Jar is only accessible via Siofra River Well, in Limgrave.
