The Bloodfiend's Arm might be an early-game weapon in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, but it certainly isn't anything you want to miss out on, especially if you're on the lookout for a good Strength-Arcane weapon. While in terms of raw DPS, the Bloodfiend's Arm isn't anything special, even with the +25 upgrade, it excels at its Bleed build-up capability.
Where most Bleed weapons usually come with 60-100 Blood loss build-up, the Bloodfiend's Arm (with Bleed scaling Ash of War) goes up to 200+, with an optimized Strength-Arcane build. This basically means that with every single charged heavy attack, you're bound to induce Bleed into enemies.
Here's a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the Bloodfiend's Arm in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Where to find the Bloodfiend's Arm in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?
The Bloodfiend's Arm is a guaranteed drop from killing the Bloodfiends near Prospect Town, close to the Taylew Ruined Forge. If you don't get the weapon from the Bloodfiends near Prospect Town, try farming them near the Castle Front area. While the Bloodfiend's Arm scales quite well with Arcane, it doesn't come with Bleed build-up by default.
However, once you do imbue it with a Bleed-scaling Ash of War, its Bleed build-up can go upwards of 200. With a Level 220 character and 70 points into Arcane, we were able to take the Bloodfiend's Arm's Bleed build-up to 220, which can be taken further to 221 with the use of Outer God's Talisman.
That much Bleed build-up means that even a regular attack is enough to inflict Blood loss in overworld enemies, including elites, and for bosses, just a charged heavy attack is all it takes to inflict Bleed. Pair the Bloodfiend's Arm with the Savage Lion's Claw Ash of War, and you should be able to defeat Messmer, without any issues.
The only issue that might restrict including the Bloodfiend's Arm into your build is its weight, which comes at a whopping 20.0. It might not be the heaviest, but it certainly isn't light either, especially for Bleed builds in Elden Ring, which is usually low on encumbrance. However, you can always respec to get some additional points into Endurance.
During my time with the game, I found the Bloodfiend's Blood Arm (with Savage Lion's Claw Ash of War) to be incredibly effective against bosses like the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, Golden Hippopotamus, Messmer the Impaler, Romina Saint of the Bud, and occasionally, even against the final boss of Elden Ring's DLC - Promised Consort Radahn.
