The Gold Button is one of the most powerful end-game Curios that you can obtain in Black Myth Wukong. However, as is the case with most such powerful Curios in the game, the Gold Button is entirely missable if you don't defeat a certain enemy type, which is bound to a particular main story chapter. Furthermore, this Curios cannot be farmed and can only obtained be once per playthrough.
Thankfully, obtaining the Gold Button isn't as hard as having to wait for it to drop as a random reward from defeating enemies, a la, Beast Buddha, Thunderflame Seal, Tiger Tendon Belt, etc. Instead, this Curios is a guaranteed item drop from one of the elite enemies in Chapter 5 (The Flaming Mountains).
Here's a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the Gold Button Curios in Black Myth Wukong.

Where to find the Gold Button Curios in Black Myth Wukong
The Gold Button can be obtained in Black Myth Wukong's Chapter 5 (The Flaming Mountains) as an item drop from the Giant Rakshasa soldiers. Unlike some of the other Curios, the Gold Button is a guaranteed drop, and hence cannot be missed as long as you defeat the Giants. However, the enemies are completely optional and don't attack unless you invade their territory.
The Giant Rakshasa's can be found near the entrance to the Rakshasa Palace. There are essentially two of these Giants that guard the path to a small shrine where you will find the Old Man NPC resting. However, you must only defeat one of the Giant Rakshasas to obtain the Gold Button Curios.
If you're having trouble with the Giant Rakshasas, here are some tips to easily defeat them in Black Myth Wukong:
- Equip the Fireproof Mantle to negate all Burn damage from the lava-covered floor.
- Try to stay behind the Giants and use the charged-heavy attack of the Smash Stance to stagger them and deal damage.
- Use Immobilize to get in some additional hits as well as reposition yourself.
- Using the Wandering Wight Spirit ability easily staggers the Giants.
Once you defeat one of the Giant Rakshasas, you will receive the Gold Button Curios. It is quite similar to the Beast Buddha Curios, as it increases the Destined One's attack power. However, it only does so when you're at full health, which might be a bit tricky to do during some of the late-game boss fights.
However, once you head into New Game+ or as soon as you master the "see-through" combos of all the stances, you can easily keep your HP topped up at all times. And that will allow you to make the most of the Gold Button Curios. Furthermore, the effects of the Gold Button stacks with the likes of Beast Buddha.
