Without delving into spoilers, this talisman is incredibly useful if you are facing what might be the toughest boss FromSoftware has ever designed. However, obtaining it can be quite challenging, as it is located in an optional region only accessible after solving a tricky puzzle.

How to get the Golden Braid Talisman in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

The Golden Braid Talisman in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree can be looted from a statue inside the trunk of a tree at the Shaman Village, located in the Scaduview region. To reach this area, you will have to make a long trek from the Bonny Village site of Grace.

But first, you need to acquire the O Mother gesture, which will be required later to open the path to the Scaduview region. You can find this gesture north of Bonny Village in front of a headless statue.

Once you have obtained the gesture, make your way to the Shadow Keep, Church District to the far north. To reach it, cross the bridge leaving the Bonny Village, and follow the main road.

You will have to navigate through this entire area, including multiple platforming sections, to get to the very top. Take a lift to the ground level to arrive at the Shadow Keep, Back Gate site of Grace. This area is fraught with fire mages and bats that will make the platforming sections extra difficult, as any misstep can result in death.

Next, you need to use the O Mother gesture in front of the headless statue in the room adjacent to the Shadow Keep, Back Gate site of Grace. This will open the path to the Scaduview region.

Hinterland will be your first site of Grace in this new area. From there, the path to the Golden Braid Talisman in the Shaman Village is straightforward. Follow the road to the mountain overlooking the Shadow Keep until you reach the tree south of the village containing a statue in its trunk.
