How to obtain Impenetrable Thorns in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Impenetrable is one of the many new sorceries that players can hunt for in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. This attack has an AOE effect that will affect enemies who stand at a distance. When used, the Tarnished will bury their staff into the ground and thorns will emerge in three different directions and travel forward before erupting from the ground.

Where to find Impenetrable Thorns in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

To find the Impenetrable Thorns sorcery, you need to start at the Dark Chamber Entrance Site of Grace located right outside Messmer's room. From here, backtrack until you reach the gate you used to exit the Storehouse. Once you're right outside the pathway leading back into the Storehouse, stand near the ledge and look down.

Below you will be a bat. Here, you need to carefully jump and land on the platform. Be extremely careful while doing this, since it is very easy to die from the fall damage. After successfully descending, defeat the bat enemy in front of you. You will find a bat right beside the corpse. Loot it to acquire the Impenetrable Thorns in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Like many spells in Elden Ring, Impenetrable Thorns requires you to invest in the right stats to use it. This spell in particular requires 24 Faith. If you're going up to 24, you might as well add another level and make it 25. This will allow you to use the Flame, Grant me Strength, and Golden Vow incantations for buffs to both damage and damage negation.

You can also pair your sorcery with the Magic Scorpion Charm to buff its damage. Equipping the Beloved Stardust Talisman is also recommended if the casting time of this sorcery feels too long. You should only consider using the Impenetrable Thorns when there's a decent amount of distance between you and your target.
