The Mottled Necklace +2 is a very useful Talisman that you might not want to miss out on in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. However, getting the Mottled Necklace +2 isn't as straightforward as it might seem, and more likely than not, you'll miss out on picking the Talisman up. This is because it requires you to solve what seems like an "impossible puzzle."

That said, the Mottled Necklace +2 can be an incredibly useful Talisman, regardless of your build's inclination. The Talisman raises your passive defenses significantly, i.e., Robustness, Immunity, and also Focus, which is something that comes in handy against enemies and bosses dealing elemental damage.

Where to find the Mottled Necklace +2 in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

The Mottled Necklace +2 is found in a small platform, only accessible using the Spirit Spring near the Rauh Ancient Ruins, East Site of Grace. However, to use the Spiritspring, you first need to activate it, which can be done in two ways. The first and more logical way to activate the Spiritspring is to proceed to the area above it and find the activation stone.

That said, doing so will require you to first get past the Furnace Golem, proceed to the west side of the Ruins, get past a Curseblade Labirinth, and then find the activation stone hidden across a group of Bloodfiends.

This process, while the natural way of unlocking the Spiritsprings in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, is admittedly quite arduous. Alternatively, if you're looking to not go through the trouble of finding the activation stone, you can simply use Mohg's or Margit's Shackles to essentially bypass the entire puzzle and activate the Spiritspring.

Once activated, head to the Spiritspring, and go east. You will find a set of stairs leading to a small platform. Proceed to the edge of the platform and you will notice a treasure chest. This contains the Mottled Necklace +2. While the default Mottled Necklace simply increases Immunity, the +2 variant also buffs your Robustness and Focus.
