How to obtain Nanaya's Torch in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Nanaya's Torch is easily the most busted weapon you can use in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, especially in PvP. While the "weapon" in itself isn't anything special, the amount of Frenzy Flame damage it deals with its Ash of War, alongside the Frenzy build-up, easily makes it the most overpowered weapon in the game's current version.

Frenzy has never been very effective in Elden Ring PvE, with most bosses either being completely immune to its effect or having incredibly high resistance to it. However, for PvP, whether it be Invasions or the Colosseum duels, Frenzy is probably the best choice, especially if you're skilled with Elden Ring's combat system.

And for fans of PvP and Invasions, Nanaya's Torch makes for the perfect Frenzy weapon. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to easily obtain Nanaya's Torch in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Where to find Nanaya's Torch in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

Nanaya's Torch is found deep within the bowels of the Abyssal Woodlands, inside Midra's Manse. However, reaching the Abyssal Woodlands and then subsequently Midra's Manse isn't as straightforward as you might think. To reach the former, you first need to arrive at the Darklight Catacomb, make it to its lowest floor, and defeat Jori, Elder Inquisitor.

After arriving at the Abyssal Woodlands, you will need to make your way to the southeastern region of the area, where you will find Midra's Manse. Along the way, you will need to deal with a group of Aging Untouchables, enemies akin to Bloodborne's Winter Lanterns.

Once you arrive at Midra's Manse, progress naturally until you reach Midra's Library Site of Grace. From there, make a left and then after some platforming, you will be able to reach the lower floor. Do be careful of the Inquisitors roaming the area.

On the lower floor, head right under the ledge that connects the balcony to the Midra's Library Site of Grace and you will reach a room with a painting of Midra and Nanaya. Hit the painting to reveal a hidden entrance to another floor, which eventually leads you to a level that moves a shelf in the previous area.

Head back to the Midra's Library Site of Grace and reach the platform to the north. After some platforming, you will arrive at the broken bridge to the left of the area. After moving the shelf, you will have made a platform to jump to. Hop on it and make your way to the other end of the room. Here you will find Nanaya, cradling an item.

This is Nanaya's Torch, which according to the in-game description, is the "spine" of a previous Lord of the Manor, who failed to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame. It is heavily hinted that the spine actually belongs to Nanaya's child, who might've died after birth due to either the Hornsents' invasion of the Manse or the Frenzied Flame itself.
