How to obtain the Pearl Shield Talisman in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

The Pearl Shield Talisman is essentially a must-have if you're using a Greatshield against the final boss in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Although the Greatshield Talisman helps increase the Guard Boost and also stamina cost while guarding, it doesn't help with damage negation. This is precisely where the Pearl Shield Talisman comes into play.

The item basically increases your non-physical damage negation, i.e. elemental and AOE damage, while you're guarding with a Greatshield. It basically grants you immunity against AOE attacks that most bosses perform in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

Where to find the Pearl Shield Talisman in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

The Pearl Shield Talisman is found near the Rauh Ruins Base, in one of the small Messmer's Soldier encampments. However, to reach the base of the Rauh Ruins, you first need to make your way to Scadue Altus and then Moorth Ruins. Reaching Scadu Altus requires you to make your way through Castle Ensis and defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight.

Once you reach Scadue Altus, head east towards Moorth Ruins, where you will find another one of Miquella's Crosses as well as the NPC, Dryleaf Dane. From Moorth Ruins, go northwest, and you will reach a small ravine with a broken statue of Marika at its end.

Proceeding past the statue, you will reach a poison swamp. Take a left here, and you will exit at the Rauh Ruins Base. From there, go a bit further, and you will find a Site of Grace - Ancient Ruins Base. From the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace, proceed northwest, and you will eventually come across a small encampment.

The camp is guarded by a small group of Messmer's Soldiers and a few dogs. Take out all the enemies guarding the station and proceed to the camp. Towards the backside of the only tent in the campsite, you will find a treasure chest that contains the Pearl Shield Talisman.

Do note that unlike the Pearldrake Talisman +3 in this DLC, the Pearl Shield Talisman only negates non-physical damage when you're guarding using a Greatshield, with emphasis on the "Greatshield." If you're using a regular Light Shield or not using any, to begin with, this Talisman won't serve any purpose in your build, and you're better off using the Pearldrake.
