The Qing-Tian Gourd is easily one of the most fascinating Gourd types in Black Myth Wukong. While its incredibly limited healing charges make it seem like something that's not viable for most combat scenarios in the game, it ends up being one of the most powerful (and useful) Gourds in New Game+, granted you know how to use it to its full effect.

Obtaining the Qing-Tian Gourd is a fairly straightforward process, as it can be purchased from the Shen Monkey either in the Zodiac Village (Ryui Scroll) or in Chapter 1 (The Black Wind Mountain). However, it's only available for purchase under a very specific condition, that too exclusively in New Game+.

Here's a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the Qing-Tian Gourd in Black Myth Wukong.

Where to find the Qing-Tian Gourd in Black Myth Wukong?

The Qing-Tian Gourd can be obtained from the Shen Monkey in New Game+, but only after completing all the Character Portraits. You essentially need to unlock the Old Man NPC's i.e., Yuan Shoucheng's Portrait in the Portrait menu to get the Qing-Tian Gourd. However, Yuan Shoucheng's Portrait only appears after you gather all the character portraits in the game.

Thankfully, all the Character Portraits can be obtained in the very first playthrough, that too, without much hassle. Here are some tips to help you easily unlock all the Portraits in Black Myth Wukong:

  • Explore the Chapters thoroughly and complete the NPC quests.
  • Do not skip out on the "secret areas" as they hide not only Yaoguai Chiefs i.e., bosses, but also regular enemies and NPCs that you need for Portrait completion.
  • Do not rush through the final Chapter (Mount Huaguo).
  • Do not head into New Game+ if you're missing a few Character Portrait entries that might be tied to secret areas or missed NPC quests.

Most NPC quests in Black Myth Wukong are independent of the main story progression, meaning they can be completed even after you reach the end of the main story. As such, do not rush into New Game+ until you're absolutely certain there's no content left to be completed.

Once you complete all the Character Portraits, you will be able to buy the Qing-Tian Gourd from the Shen Monkey in either Chapter 1 (Black Wind Mountains) or the Zodiac Village. The Qing-Tian Gourd only offers a single healing charge. However, its primary perk allows you to slowly restore the healing charge over time.

As such, technically, the Qing-Tian Gourd has a near-infinite amount of healing charges, albeit with cooldowns between successive sips. The best use of the Qing-Tian Gourd is in New Game+, and against bosses like Erlang, the Sacred Divinity. These boss fights are usually long enough to give you plenty of time to restore the Gourd's healing charges.
