Gourds are easily one of the most important aspects of your combat toolset in Black Myth Wukong, similar to the Staff and armor. While Gourds don't have an active effect on your combat efficiency, they are the primary means to ensure survivability, especially during boss fights. And much like other combat gear in the game, Gourds come in various shapes and sizes.

As you progress through the main story chapters of Black Myth Wukong, you will obtain and craft various Gourd types, each with its own perks and benefits. One such item is the Stained Jade Gourd, obtainable fairly late in the game. However, the perk it comes with makes it one of the best healing flasks in Black Myth Wukong.

Where to find the Stained Jade Gourd in Black Myth Wukong

The Stained Jade Gourd can be obtained inside an optional treasure chest in the Purple Cloud Mountains. However, to reach the treasure chest and loot it, you must not only make your way to the Purple Cloud Mountains but also defeat what is easily one of the toughest mid-game bosses in Black Myth Wukong - the Scorpionlord.

To reach the Purple Cloud Mountains, you must essentially complete the Venom Daoist's questline, which starts fairly early in Chapter 4 (The Webbed Hollow) but concludes almost near the end, close to the final Keeper's Shrine in the area. Furthermore, you have to defeat the Daoist not once but twice during the questline.

Here are the steps to reach the Purple Cloud Mountains and obtain the Stained Jade Gourd:

• Defeat the Venom Daoist near the Pool of Shattered Jade Keeper's Shrine.
• Proceed to the Court of Illuminations Keeper's Shrine.
• From the Court of Illuminations Shrine, proceed southeast until you reach another Venom Daoist boss arena.
• Defeat the Venom Daoist again to unlock your path to the Purple Cloud Mountain.
• From the very first Keeper's Shrine, proceed towards the left side of the plateau to reach the boss arena of the Scorpionlord.
• Defeat the Scorpionlord and loot the chest inside his hut to obtain the Stained Jade Gourd.

Do note that the Scorpionlord encounter is one of the very few missable boss fights in the game. If you defeat the Purple Cloud Mountains' final boss - the Duskveil before defeating the Scorpionlord, you must step into New Game+ to fight him again. Once you defeat the Scorpionlord, you're free to loot the chest inside his hut to get the Stained Jade Gourd.

The Stained Jade Gourd's primary perk is that it significantly increases healing speed, i.e., the animation for drinking the Gourd. Pair it up with the fully upgraded Pilgrim's set, and you can heal incredibly fast during combat, which helps a ton against some of the late-game bosses, and even in New Game+.
