To obtain the Sword Lance in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree players need to beat Commander Gaius and then buy the Sword Lance at the Roundtable Hold. To find Commander Gaius, players can follow the steps provided below.

Step 1: Reach Bonny Village from the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace or any Site closest to it.

Step 2: Find the Bridge leading to the Village on the North East side of the village and reach the Church District Highroad

Step 3: Locate the Storehouse, Back Section Site of Grace from the Church District entrance after traversing rooftops and church ruins and then follow the storehouse inner rooms to reach Storehouse, Loft site of Grace.

Step 4: From here, take the lift to the top section of the loft and then some ladders to travel the structures on top of the loft and then come outside to reach the ramparts and take two lifts to go down and reach Shadow Keep, Back Gate Site of Grace.

Step 5: Upon heading out the big door from this Site of Grace, you will find yourself challenging Commander Gaius astride on top of his boar. Defeat him and head to the Roundtable Hold to buy the Sword Lance.

The Weapon skill for Sword Lance in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is dubbed Impaling Thrust. Do keep in mind though that the weapon comes pre-equipped with the Spinning Gravity Thrust skill. This weapon can be infused, buffed, and can be can be further improved with the help of Smithing Stones.

The Sword Lance uses the normal Heavy Thrusting Sword movesets with the R1 found in weapons of this type but all of the R2 hits in this weapon are of the Lance type. These include a Guard Counter and a running R2 hit. What this means is that Sword Lance in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree lacks a feint attack that all Thrusting Swords possess which makes it a special kind of weapon.
