How to play Changli in Wuthering Waves

The second phase of the Wuthering Waves 1.1 update has begun and Changli is finally here. The counselor of the Jinzhou Magistrate is an amazing 5-star Fusion character who is capable of not only dealing an insane amount of damage to her enemies but also providing some really nice buffs to her party members.

This article will briefly cover the counselor's kit and provide a simple guide on how to play Changli in Wuthering Waves.

As mentioned, Changli deals an insane amount of damage to enemies and can also provide amazing buffs to her party members. This allows her to function as both the main on-field DPS and a quick-swap damage dealer.

Before discussing how to play Changli in Wuthering Waves, let's briefly go over her abilities first.

Basic Attack

Changli performs up to four consecutive strikes, dealing Fusion DMG to enemies. After the fourth attack, she enters True Sight, lasting 12 seconds. Similarly, Changli can perform four attacks in mid-air while consuming Stamina and enters True Sights after the fourth attack.

Forte Circuit

If Changli has four stacks of Enflamement (Forte Guage) and uses her Heavy Attack, she will consume the Enflamement stacks to cast Flaming Sacrifice (enhanced Heavy Attack), dealing Fusion DMG. It is worth adding that she takes 40% less damage while casting Flaming Sacrifice.

Changli can obtain the Enflamement stacks by hitting the enemies under the True Sight status and casting her Resonance Liberation (gaining full stacks).

Resonance Skill

After casting her Resonance Skill, Changli dashes towards the enemy and enters True Sight before performing a Plunging Attack, dealing Fusion DMG.

Resonance Liberation

Changli deals Fusion DMG to nearby enemies and instantly gains four stacks of Enflamement. Additionally, Changli enters the Fiery Feather state. Under this state, she will receive a 25% ATK if she releases her enhanced Heavy Attack within 10 seconds after entering the Fiery Feather.

Passive Skills

Changli has two amazing passive skills:

• Secret Strategist: Changli's True Sight attacks gain a 5% Fusion DMG bonus for each stack of Enflamement.
• Sweeping Force: Changli's Fusion DMG Bonus is increased by 20% and she ignores 15% of the enemy's defense when dealing enhanced Heavy Attacks or Resonance Liberation.

Intro Skill

Changli appears in mid-air before attacking the target and entering True Sight which lasts 12 seconds.

Outro Skill

Changli increases the incoming character's Fusion DMG by 20% and Resonance Liberation DMG by 25% for 10 seconds or until the unit is switched.

Changli's main source of damage is her enhanced Heavy Attacks and Resonance Liberation (ultimate). So, you'd ideally want to get the max Enflamement stacks on her before unleashing her big guns. This way, you can also make the best out of her other buffs from passive, such as up to 20% Fusion DMG bonus at max stacks.

For Changli's basic rotation, you can do the following:

• Intro Skill → Basic Attack x5 → Skill → Basic Attack → Skill → Basic Attack → Hold Basic Attack (Heavy Attack) → Ultimate → Hold Basic Attack → Outro Skill
• Skill → Basic Attack → Switch to other unit and do their rotation → Intro Skill → Basic Attack → Skill → Basic Attack x4 → Hold Basic Attack → Ultimate → Hold Basic Attack → Outro Skill

You can also use the Echo Skill anytime you want during the rotation.

Alternatively, you can start with her ultimate if you already have it charged up to get full Enflamement stacks and then do an enhanced Heavy Attack before switching to another character. This is only viable for quick swap teams.
