Does Zenless Zone Zero have co-op? Multiplayer game modes explained

Zenless Zone Zero is officially on the market as the latest action RPG, and it features a myriad of gameplay elements, such as additional abilities for characters, an HDD system, and more. However, if there's one thing players might wonder, it's how exactly they can experience the game with their friends. Unfortunately, ZZZ does not have a multiplayer feature for combat, and the only co-op aspect is the mini-games at Goldfinger Arcade.

How to play multiplayer in Zenless Zone Zero

The multiplayer experience in ZZZ is currently limited to arcade games. This is a neat feature that allows you to try out some retro titles from within the hub. You can try them out at the Goldfinger Arcade located opposite the noodle shop on Sixth Street.

This is basically one of the many vendors from ZZZ, so you can teleport to the location directly using the Navigation system. Upon arriving at the store, interact and select Arcade Mode. Once you choose a game from the catalog, it will put you through a matchmaking process.

Use the plus symbols on the bottom right of the screen to invite your friends for the multiplayer experience. You can also click on Match to get paired with random Proxies on your server.

Types of multiplayer in ZZZ

As specified, ZZZ does not have many multiplayer game modes, and the arcade is currently the limit. However, HoYoverse might add co-op content in the future, considering Reckless Challenge (currently Notorious Hunt) had a matchmaking feature during the closed beta.

To experience some quality multiplayer arcade games in Zenless Zone Zero, you must first add your friends with their UID. Do so by following the steps below:

• Boot up the game and wait for the character to appear on the screen.
• Hit Pause to bring up the in-game menu screen.
• Click on your profile name to access your account information.
• Select Inter-Knot Friends at the top right corner of the screen.
• Click on "Add Friends" and enter their UID.
• This way, you can search for your companions and add them.
• You can also check their profile by clicking on My Friends
