Fugue is the newest and first Nihility character in Honkai Star Rail who has good synergy with the BE units. Fugue is an excellent pair for BE DPS characters like Firefly or Rappa. Fugue attacks an enemy dealing a decent amount of Fire damage.

Enhanced Basic ATK

Fugue unleashes an attack that deals Fire damage to three Adjacent enemies.

When activated, Fugue grants the targeted ally the “Foxian Prayer” buff and enters the “Torrid Scorch” state for a total of three turns, simultaneously.

Fugue’s team member with the Foxian Prayer buff will have their Break Effect stat boosted by 15 – 33% (depending on the ability’s level). When the character attacks an enemy, their toughness gets reduced if they don’t have the same weakness type as the attacker.

When Fugue enters the “Torrid State,” her Basic ATK gets enhanced. Additionally, this Foxian will reduce DEF of an enemy when the character with “Foxian Prayer” attacks them.

Upon activation, Fugue deals damage to all enemies and reduces their toughness. Moreover, if she breaks their Weakness, the attack deals Fire Weakness Break damage.

When Fugue is present on the battlefield, she affects the enemies with the “Cloudflame Luster” debuff, which scales 40% of their toughness. When the toughness drops to 0, the enemies take additional Break damage.

When activated, Fugue inflicts the “Dazed” state on the enemies. Adversaries in this state will not attack any characters.

Attacking “Dazed” enemies to enter a fight allows Fugue to advance her actions by 40% and reduces every enemy’s DEF.

Fugue is primarily a debuff who has good synergy with Break Effect DPS characters such as Firefly, Rappa, and Boothill. Hence, you should pair her with any of these DPS units.

When you have a perfect Fugue build in Honkai Star Rail, you should master the following rotation:

  • When the fight starts use Fugue’s skill on the DPS unit. The ability will bestow the “Foxian Prayer” buff to the DPS unit, increasing their overall damage. Fugue will also enter the “Torrid Scorch” state. Every time the DPS character attacks an enemy, Fugue reduces their DEF by utilizing the “Torrid Scorch” state’s effects.
  • After getting Fugue’s Ultimate, use it immediately to deal Fire damage and boost the DPS unit’s outgoing damage.
  • Use Fugue’s abilities such as her Basic ATK or Skill to accumulate enough Energy for her Ultimate. Use the Foxian’s Skill every two turns to make sure the “Torrid Scorch” state stays active at all times.

The ideal stats for Fugue in Honkai Star Rail are as follows:

  • Relic body piece: EHR
  • Relic boots: SPD
  • Planar Ornament Sphere: HP% or DEF%
  • Planar Ornament Link Rope: ERR or Break Effect
