How to play Furnace in Clash Royale: Abilities, strategies, and more

Furnace in Clash Royale is a Rare Card that costs four elixirs to deploy. When used, it spawns a building called the Furnace, which produces a Fire Spirit every five seconds. It also spawns a Fire Spirit after running out of hitpoints. The card can be unlocked at the Hog Mountain, Arena 10. Since it is a building, the Furnace is best used for defense.

The Fire Spirits spawned explode and inflict area damage upon contact, making it an effective counter against most swarms. Additionally, the spirits boast rapid movement speed and can attack all melee troops before being swarmed.

With each level-up, the stats increase by 10%. Additionally, the Fire Spirit spawned has an attack range of two tiles. The maximum level for this card is 15.

Ability

The building spawns a Fire Spirit, which has the same level as the Furnance, every five seconds. The stats of a level 3 Fire Spirit are as follows:

The Fire Spirit targets ground and air units.

Strategies

The Furnace can counter troops from other spawner buildings like Goblin Hut, Tombstone, and Barbarian Hut, as the Fire Spirits dole out area damage and can defeat most low-hitpoints troops.

The Furnace can support tanks like Pekka and Golem by spawning Fire Spirits behind them. This tactic can help the tank advance while the spirit defeats swarms of skeletons and minions.

In dire situations, Furnace can also counter dash-attacks from Prince, Dark Prince, or Bandit by immediately spawning a Fire Spirit that can take the hit. Additionally, the Furnace can distract building attackers like Hog Rider, Royal Giant, Giant, etc from the King or Princess Towers.

If a Furnace is placed closer to the enemy territory, certain high-ranged attackers like Magic Archer, Dart Goblin, and Princess can snipe it without crossing lanes. If the opponent carries any such cards, place the Furnace towards the middle.
