You can create your party and invite up to two more players. It is to be noted that everyone should own the game and cross-play is allowed between Epic Games and Steam users. Here's how to send an invite to players in Space Marine 2:

  • Edit Squad from the Pause Menu: Select the Edit Squad option from the Pause Menu between a mission or from the main hub at the top right before a new mission starts.
  • Open Invite Menu: Open the Invite Menu and copy the Invite Code.
  • Send Invitation: Send the Invite Code to your friends. Alternatively, you can send an invite using the social features of Epic Games or Steam too.

The process of joining your friend's party is as simple as sending them an invite. Here's how to join others to play multiplayer co-op in Space Marine 2:

  • Edit Squad from the Pause Menu: Select the Edit Squad option from the Pause Menu between a mission or from the main hub at the top right before a new mission starts.
  • Open Invite Menu: Open the Invite Menu or the social feature of the app you are using.
  • Accept invitation: Paste the code provided by your teammate or accept the invite from Epic Games or the Steam app from outside the game.

To unlock the multiplayer mode in Space Marine 2, you must go through the opening mission. It is to be noted that this prologue is skippable and you instantly unlock the multiplayer mode after this. However, it is highly recommended to go through it to understand the basic mechanics.

If you want to switch from the Campaign mode to Operations, leave the game and change the mode from the main menu. From there, follow the same instructions mentioned above to send a new invite. The game suggests trying the Operations mode after completing the story campaign, but it is not mandatory. You can dive into either mode at any time.
