With the much-anticipated release of EA FC 25 being on the horizon, gamers will be delighted to know that the title is now available for pre-download. The latest installment in the football simulation series by EA Sports promises to offer the most immersive and entertaining experience on the virtual pitch, and fans will soon be able to play it across various platforms.

The ability to pre-download a game provides users with the ability to save a lot of time by having the application ready on their devices for the day of the release, and EA FC 25 is no different. With the Ultimate Edition of the game being available worldwide on September 20, there is still plenty of time for fans to prepare for the full release and preload the title.

How to preload EA FC 25 across all platforms?

Similar to previous iterations of the franchise, EA FC 25 will be available on various platforms like Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the pre-download option is currently only available for the Xbox versions of the game, with other versions being expected to showcase this feature later before the full release.

This seems to be in line with previous years, as Xbox always has the preload option available first. However, it should not be long before the PlayStation and PC versions of the game are also available for pre-download, with most FIFA/EA FC games being available for preload two days before release on PS. For Nintendo Switch users, any title is pre-downloaded automatically seven days before the official release date, provided that the game has been purchased by the user.

To preload the game on Xbox, gamers must follow these steps:

  • Preorder EA FC 25 via the Microsoft Store
  • Select the pre-download option

This is a fairly simple process and will save fans a lot of time. However, they must ensure that their devices have the necessary amount of data space to download the game. These are the data requirements across various platforms:

  • Xbox One: 43.1 GB
  • Xbox Series X/S: 46.1GB
  • Nintendo Switch: 28.4 GB

While there is no confirmation for the data space required for PC and PlayStation as of this writing, it is reasonable to believe that they will require similar space compared to the Xbox versions, as the overall build of the game is similar. The PlayStation 4 version should be similar to the Xbox One version, while the PC and PlayStation 5 versions will be similar to the Xbox Series X/S version.
