How to preload HSR 2.7 on PC
- To pre-download the 2.6 patch files on your PC, boot up the HoYoPlay launcher.
- In case you have multiple HoYoverse games installed, pick Star Rail from the list.
- Click on the Pre-Install Icon, which should be located beside the Start button. This will open a small window showing the Resource Package Size and total storage requirement.
- Click the Download button to confirm the process.
The version 2.6 preload size on PC is roughly 21 GB. Do reserve 45 GB of storage space for the final installation, as the files will decompress once the update is live. You can play the game while downloading the files, which is an added benefit.
