Metaphor ReFantazio will arrive on the PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S on October 11, 2024. The newest entry from Atlus has elements and the feel of Persona, for which they are widely known, though Metaphor sets itself apart in unique ways. The game will become available for pre-load on PlayStation on October 9, 2024, while the Xbox and PC versions have been available for pre-load since late September.

The steps to pre-load the title across PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and on PCs via Steam are as follows.

Purchase the game from the PlayStation store, then head to the game library at the far end of the home screen.
Select Metaphor ReFantazio from the list of games in the library.
The option to download the game will appear. Select the option, and initiate the pre-load.

Purchase the game from the PlayStation store, and head to the game library at the far end of the home screen.
Select Metaphor ReFantazio or click the Options button on the highlighted game tile.
The option to download the game will appear. Select the option, and initiate the pre-load.

Preloading Metaphor ReFantazio on PC (Steam)

Once the game has been purchased, head over to your Steam library and search for Metaphor ReFantazio.
Click on the game, and then on the Install button.
Select the disk drive onto which the game should be downloaded, and then proceed with accepting the terms and conditions presented to you.
The download will initiate, and once completed, the game will be pre-loaded onto your system.
