How to preload Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 patch

This feature is available for PC, Android, and iOS devices, and is accessible via a browser or the login page.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 pre-download guide for all platforms

Starting September 23, 2024, HoYoverse has rolled out the preload feature for the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 update across PC, Android, and iOS devices. Here are the steps you should take to download the files for every platform ahead of the global launch.

ZZZ 1.2 pre-download for PC

• To pre-download the ZZZ 1.2 patch files on your PC, open the HoYoPlay launcher.
• If there are multiple HoYoverse games installed, select Zenless Zone Zero from the list.
• Then, click on the Pre-Install icon located beside the Start button. This will open a pop-up window showing the Resource Package Size and total storage requirement.
• In the same window, click on Download to confirm the process.

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 pre-download size is roughly 13 GB on PC, but it may vary if you use additional voice packs for different languages. For those wondering, you can still play the game with the process running in the background.

ZZZ 1.2 pre-download for mobile

• Launch ZZZ on your mobile device.
• Head to the login page, find the "Pre-Download Resources" icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen and click on it.
• Press Confirm below the pop-up window to download the resource files.

The process is the same irrespective of Android and iOS. The total pre-download size for version 1.2 is roughly 8 GB on mobile. However, unlike the PC, you cannot play the game while downloading the resource package.

It is worth noting that the v1.2 preload feature isn’t available on PlayStation as of writing. Hence, players have no other option aside from waiting for the update's final release to download the patch.
