After securing an area in Kunitsu-Gami, it will be marked on your map and you can fast-travel to it. Sadly, the base will be nearly destroyed once you unlock it and must be repaired to function properly. Repairing the base requires you to do two things:
- Gather a minimum number of villagers to perform repairs.
- Complete a set number of stage runs.
1) Gathering Villagers
Villagers are a very useful resource as they can be deployed for multiple roles like repairing the base, gathering resources, or fighting against Seethe. New villagers can be acquired by freeing the area from defilement or by saving them from enemies.
Therefore, your first step upon entering a new area must be to free as many villagers as possible. This will ensure you have enough workforce to repair the whole base.
To start the repairs, interact with structures with a hammer symbol on them. This will open up the repair menu that displays the number of workers you need to deploy, the materials required, and the stage runs required to complete the repairs.
In the repair menu, simply select the number of villagers and items required to start the repair process. A strategy for faster repairs is to carefully deploy the villagers in such a way that there is no idle workforce.
2) Completing stages
You don't need to wait for a particular amount of time to complete the repairs. Instead, you must clear a set number of stages. This is denoted by the number marked under the "Repair Time" tab in the repair menu.
Thankfully, you don't have to clear brand new stages each time you want to repair something; replaying old ones will count towards repair progress too. Hence, you can replay the early stages with low-level enemies to speed up the repair process.
This will ensure you get more repairs done within a short amount of time. After completing the stage runs, return to the base and interact with the repaired items to check your progress and claim your rewards.
