There are two distinct ways to report in Overwatch 2:

  1. Through the social menu
  2. Directly in-game using the chat window

Both options allow you to instantly report any player for cheating, harassment, intentionally sabotaging a game, staying AFK, and many other reasons.

1) Using Social Menu

The social menu in Overwatch 2 can be accessed directly upon launching the game. Follow these steps to institute a report:

  • Open Steam or Battle.net and log in with your respective credentials.
  • Launch Overwatch 2.
  • Look for the 'Social' tab on the main menu.
  • Navigate to the sub-tabs called 'Groups' or 'Recently played.'
  • Here, you will find a list of players you have recently played with and against in your recent games.
  • Scroll to the player you want to report. Right-click on their name and hit the 'Report' button.

Upon doing so, you will be met with a brand-new report window with a number of grievances to choose from. Pick the option that suits your ongoing issue the best and proceed to submit it.


2) Using the in-game chat window

To use the in-game chat window, you must be playing a match. If you are in the middle of a game, and players decide to either toggle on cheats or are constantly harassing you, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the chat window on the bottom left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on the player's name and press 'Report.'

This will pop open the report window, which will allow you to instantly admit a formal complaint against the player.
