Revival Charges are a unique mechanic that allows you to bring your character or party members back to life if they fall in combat. However, these charges aren't consumable items you can buy from any merchant. Instead, they are tied to specific pieces of gear that grant a Revival Charge as a bonus. On top of that, these charges are not automatically replenished.

How to Obtain Revival Charges in Dragon Age The Veilguard
To revive your fallen character, you need to have at least one Revival Charge. The primary sources of Revival Charges are gear pieces, which you can find in chests or purchase from various Faction merchants. Here are some examples:
Companion Trinkets with Revival Charges
Each companion in your party has access to unique trinkets that grant Revival Charges. These are the most reliable sources:
- Bellara: Calibration Crystal (+4 Revival Charges)—available from the Veil Jumper merchant in Arlathan Forest.
- Lucanis: Simple Oil and Stone—can be purchased from the Treviso merchant.
- Davrin: Creator’s Chisel (+4 Revival Charges)—obtainable from the Hossberg Wetlands merchant.
- Harding: Bianca’s Bolt—can sometimes be found in chests while exploring various regions.
Companion trinkets become available for purchase only after upgrading a faction’s merchant to level 3. To do this, increase your Faction Strength by completing Faction quests and selling valuable items to these merchants.
Rook’s Gear
Your main character, Rook, can also equip specific items that offer Revival Charges, one such example is:
- Tincture Kit Healing Belt: This item provides Revival Charges, but you need to upgrade it to Rare quality to unlock the +1 Revival Charge. It’s one of the few items for Rook that offers Revival Charges.
Once you take the Caretaker to Rank 9, you can enchant amulets to increase Rook's maximum revival capacity by one. This enchantment doesn't directly grant Revival Charges but allows you to hold more of them if your equipped gear pieces and provide it.
Explore Arlathan Forest for Bellara’s items and Treviso for Lucanis. Some hidden chests here are locked behind puzzles. Solving these not only grants valuable loot but may also reward you with trinkets that carry Revival Charges. Focus on solving as many puzzles and unlocking as many chests as possible during the early game. Even if you don’t find Revival Charges, you’ll equip your team with better gear.
